I've been involved in photography for over 50 years. I became interested in while assisting my father in his photojournalism and freelance photography business and working in his darkroom as a child. When I was 7 years old he gave me my first camera and photography has been a part of my life since.
For some time, I considered pursuing a career in photojournalism. I even had my own column in the college paper for a short time. Then, while attending the Photography Program at Spokane Falls Community College I realized that my passion is in Nature, Landscape and Fine Art Photography. I enjoy capturing the essence of nature and the beauty in the world around us. I also enjoy photographing things we see everyday that often go unnoticed. As you view my images I want you to experience the feeling of that moment in time when I clicked the shutter. If you feel drawn into them as though you are there that purpose has been achieved.
Most of my photography is shot in and around the Pacific Northwest. My work has earned numerous awards and has been published in a book titled “Artistic Visions”. It has appeared on the Newport Chamber of Commerce website, The News-Times Newspaper, The Oregon Coast Today, the Yaquina Arts Association Website, and the Waldport Wednesday Market Website. It has also been shown in various galleries around the Pacific Northwest.
I am currently a member of the Yaquina Arts Association, Yachats Arts Guild, Nature Photographers of the Pacific Northwest, and The Lincoln City Farmers Market Association.
